Summer 2021

Here at the Essence of Movement studio we are taking the summer off. We will not be offering any group classes before September. We will be posting the the new Fall 2021 schedule the third week in August. Stay tuned! Get outside and enjoy this incredible weather!

Fall 2018

It’s hard to imagine that Autumn is just around the corner, when we’ve been having a spectacular summer (minus the forest fires). However, there are signs of the impending season.

I’ve been busy in the studio, preparing for Fall classes.

As always I’ll be offering Restorative Yoga Classes on Tuesday evenings (can’t get enough of Restorative Yoga).  As I only take 6 students in the class, if the class fills up I’ll consider offering another evening class.

This Fall I’m also offering a brand new class “Fascial Movement”.  This class is full of movement and fun! There are two classes; one morning and one evening class. Guaranteed you’ll want to try them!

On the website teom.ca go to “Schedule” and click on September for the months in Yoga and Pilates and you’ll see the Calendar of classes and their explanations. To register for classes, email Edie at eom@dccnet.com. Please state which class(es) you want to participate in.

Gentle evening Hatha Class
 

Thursdays, beginning September 24th at 6 pm
Ayurveda Class
What is Ayurveda?

The word comes from the Sanskrit terms ayur (life) and veda (knowledge). Join Edie as she introduces you to this 5000 year old system of healing the body, mind, and spirit. Learn how to take some of the principles of Ayurveda and integrate them into your daily life.

Here is the news and Winter Schedule from The Essence of Movement Studio.

As we begin the process of drawing ourselves inwards during these darker quieter days of winter, I am reminded of why we need this time and season.

Winter is a time to bring the body, mind and spirit back back to its integrity. During Spring, Summer and Autumn we have been busy, planning and preparing and carrying out those plans. Now it is time to rest and rejuvenate.

Restorative Yoga

Restorative Yoga is a perfect practice during this time as it assists the body, mind and spirit by allowing them to slow down and appeal to the quietness, calmness and restfulness and gives us the chance to appreciate this wondrous season called Winter.

Why not try some Restorative Yoga this season. There are numerous classes and times available.

New Schedule

Beginning January 8th, running until February 21st, The Essence of Movement will be offering Restorative Yoga classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 6:00 PM until 7:30 PM. Please see The Essence of Movement’s Schedule for a class to suit your day and time.

To register for any of the upcoming classes at The Essence of Movement’s studio, please contact the Studio.
Edie will be teaching Restorative Yoga at Sechelt’s Blissful Yoga Studio on Wednesdays, from 6:00 PM until 7:30 PM. (Please contact Blissful Yoga to register for classes taught at the Blissful Yoga Studio).

Chakra Workshop

I will be teaching a Workshop about The Chakras at Blissful Yoga on Saturday, January 19th at 3:00 pm. I hope you can join us.

Fall 2012 Classes
