The Instructor


Edie Clayton

Edie Clayton is The Essence of Movement’s STOTT PILATES-certified Pilates instructor and Yoga Teacher. Edie has always been active. While training for her second half marathon, Edie sustained a running injury that required rehabilitation. During her rehabilitation Edie rediscovered both Pilates and Yoga and found they helped her to regain her strength and mobility.

Edie is certified in STOTT PILATES Mat, Reformer, CCB Level 1, ISP (Injury and Special Populations), as well as many Continuing Education Credit Workshops.

Edie took her Holistic Yoga Teacher Training at Langara College where they have a unique and diverse program. Learning the Raja Yoga (the royal Yoga, the eight limbs of Yoga). Edie has started her journey towards Advanced Yoga Teacher Training by taking Northern Studies in Rishikesh, India in March 2010.
